Lions and Rhino Reserve

Posted on February 3, 2019February 6, 2019 by florina

Today, on Sunday, Michelle and Ron took me, after we went to eat brunch, to the lions and rhino reserve about 50min away from Johannesburg. It was an amazing experience. There were many different animals and most of them are at home in South Africa. For example lions, rhinos, leopards, cheetahs, zebras, and many more. The rhinos are actually endangered since they get shot by hunters to take of their horns which allegedly has special healing abilities. One of the highlights of the day was that I was aloud to pet two 4 month old lion cubs. They were really playful and even jumped on my back.

They took me back to the convent in time for supper.
